All psychotherapy societies may acquire membership. Precondition is that the training carried out by the society is generally and officially accepted in that country.
Individual membership is only possible in those cases where there is no member society in the respective country and in certain well-founded exceptions.
To acquire membership, a formal application must be sent to the office of the IFP using the enclosed IFP forms. Temporary membership will be confirmed by the Secretary General. Final membership will be decided on by the Council of the IFP and will then be confirmend by the President of the IFP.
Membership fees
Membership fees for the IFP correspond to the size of the member organizations.
Member organisations
- with less than 100 individual members: SFr. 300.-
- with 100 to 1000 individual members: SFr. 3.- per member
- with more than 1000 individual members: SFr. 3'000.-
- Individual members: SFr. 30.-
